Becoming a RIPE NCC Member & our own LIR

We believe in taking control of our internet infrastructure and providing reliable services to our customers. To achieve this, we jumped on a journey to become a member of the regional internet registry "RIPE NCC", and establish our own Local Internet Registry (LIR). In this blog post, we will share our experience and the benefits it brings to our organization.

Becoming a RIPE NCC Member

Joining RIPE NCC was a strategic decision that allows us to gain access to valuable resources and networking opportunities within the Internet community. As a member, we are part of a trusted network of organizations and professionals who are dedicated to maintaining some of the stability and security of the internet.

Establishing our own LIR

With our RIPE NCC membership, we are able to obtain our own IP space and the authority to manage our own Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs). This level of control enables us to efficiently allocate and utilize internet resources based on our specific requirements. By establishing our own LIR, we have become self-sufficient in managing these critical aspects of our network infrastructure.

Expanding Our Services

As a registered LIR, we are now equipped to offer sponsored LIR resources to other organizations and people. This includes assisting them in obtaining their own ASNs and Provider-Independent IP registrations. In the future, we also plan to provide assigned IP ranges from our pool, allowing businesses to access reliable internet resources.

Moreover, with our small but growing backbone, we have the capability to provide transit services. This means that we can offer connectivity and network access to our customers, enabling them to benefit from our infrastructure and expertise.
